Editors cut long videos, highlight reels and trailers for channels and servers. The employer supplies the footage and the brief, and you deliver the cut.

What the work is
An editor turns raw footage into a finished cut: the order, the pacing, the captions and the export the employer asked for. The employer sets the brief and the deadline. You deliver the cut by that deadline.
What it pays
Pay is set per post. Posts usually state an hourly rate, a project fee or a monthly figure. An unpaid role says so on the post.
How to get hired
- Pick a post whose game and style you already cut.
- Send two or three finished cuts you made, with a line on each about the brief and the turnaround.
- Agree the pay, the deadline and the usage rights with the employer before you start.
What to show
- Two or three finished pieces, linked.
- The editing software you cut in, by name.
- Your usual turnaround, stated in working days.
- Where your music comes from, and whether you are licensed to use it.
The rules
- You are 18 or older, and you confirm it with a tick. Nobody asks for ID or a date of birth.
- A sample is a link to your work. Nobody asks you to download and run a file to prove your skill.
- You use footage and music you have the right to use, and you say so in your handover.
- Nobody pays to apply, and nobody asks you to pay for a test, a course or a place.
